2022 Heritage Greece® Program Application

The American College of Greece (ACG) is accepting applications for the 2022 Heritage Greece® Program, an experiential educational, and cultural program for Greek American students of college age, developed by the National Hellenic Society (NHS) and hosted in Greece by The American College of Greece (ACG).

The Heritage Greece® 2022 Program sessions are:

Session A Dates : June 9-26, 2022

Session B Dates: June 30 - July 17, 2022

HG Participants attend a transferable 1 credit, ACG Greek language and culture course. Students
are exposed to Greece's on multiple levels: field trip visits to archaeological, historical and
religious sites, Greek cooking and dance classes, insider’s tour of leading classical sites. The HG
participants share their experiences with a peer group of ACG students.

HG Rundown:
Students meet in Washington, DC on June 9, 2022 (Session A)/June 30, 2022 (Session B) for Orientation. You will meet Greek American members of Congress, staff and other important decision-makers on Capitol Hill and at a special reception. You depart for Greece as a group on June 10 (Session A)/July 1 (Session B). Students bear a $1,250 airfare expense for airfare to/from Greece. Students are responsible for getting to Washington D.C. for Orientation and for arrangements to get home upon their return from Greece. NHS sponsor Orientation expenses (lodging, meals transportation) and all HG Program costs in Greece (tuition, lodging, meals, transportation, tickets).

Siblings, immediate family members of HG Alumni may apply but must bear their own Program expenses. Applicants under this category must check the relevant box in this Application if they are related to an HG Alumni.

Hellenic Heritage Foundation (HHF) Scholarships for Greek Canadian Students

HHF is sponsoring HG Greek Canadian student participants. Candidates should complete this application to be considered.

Evrytanian Association of America Scholarships

The EAA will sponsor 5 students that must attend Session B to be considered for a Scholarship. Eligible candidates must have roots in Evrytania (parent/grandparent from Evrytania) and will be invited and hosted to attend the EAA's Annual Convention in Karpenissi, Everytania in Greece.


The Greek Government and European Union's Covid-19 safety protocols and measures are stringently enforced by ACG. For the safety of all involved, participants in Heritage Greece 2022 must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to joining the HG Program, and must possess the relevant official documentation. Presently, the European Union has not defined fully vaccinated to require a booster shot. However, this situation may change requiring you to vaccinate with a booster to be compliant in advance of the Program.
